Rakushin (ラクシン), also known as Raxine, is a fictional, radioactive element which plays an important role in the plot of the Japanese version of Streets of Rage 3 (Bare Knuckle III).
The element was discovered by Dr. Gilbert Zan, though the experiment caused severe damage to his body, forcing him to become a cyborg. The Syndicate Crime Organization would harness this element and use it to create nuclear bombs, which it planned to sell to the Lima nations to instigate a war. One of these bombs would go off on Wood Oak City, causing severe damage to the city and the death of over 30,000 people.
After the events of Streets of Rage 3, Dr. Zan would help on the reconstruction of the city and employ the Rakushin element for more peaceful purposes, such as using it as a energy source for robotic implants like Floyd Iraia's robotic arms.
