Hakuyo is an enemy who appears in Streets of Rage and Streets of Rage 2.

Overview[]

Hakuyo is an agile kung-fu fighter who worked for the Syndicate during the events of Streets of rage and Streets of Rage 2.

Streets of Rage[]

Hakuyo is dressed in traditional kung-fu attire in this game. He and his palette changes are one of the enemies faced throughout the game. They appear in all the rounds.

His moveset consists of a kick combo, a high jump to attack you from behind and a flying kick which knocks the player down. Sometimes, three Hakuyo will stand in a line to perform a joint attack; they will all try to kick you from both sides.

Streets of Rage 2[]

Hakuyo returns in the second game, now with his long hair tied into a ponytail and exposing his bare chest.

He is first fought in the second act of Stage 2, in the truck. He awaits for you while a bunch of Riders cheer in the background. Once defeated, the Riders will come out to get you, and an orange-dressed Hakuyo named Ryokurou will fall from above to join to the fight. He will later be faced several times in the following stages.

His moveset is very different from the previous game; his main attack now is a slap attack, and he can also perform a blast palm attack, a flying kick and an anti-air kick.
